[Clinical therapeutic aspects of the origin and the course of atherosclerosis in the veterans of the Great Patriotic War] 06/09/09. The article presents the results of the research defining a number of features in development and course of some diseases typical for the veterans of the Great Patriotic war who got during the war craniocerebral traumas and wounds of various localization in compare with the patients of the same age who did not participate in the Great Patriotic war and did not have either brain traumas or wounds. Earlier development of ischemic heart disease, arterial hypertension, and cerebral atherosclerosis in veterans of Great Patriotic war has been found. The main intercurrent diseases in senior age persons have been distinguished.
